A little about me & why I started B50S

Who am I? Well, I’m a mom, a wife, a retired occupational therapist & a licensed cosmetologist with advanced esthetics training. I’m also a serial self-re-inventor! Aesthetics is my 12th career! I’m passionate about learning and sharing skincare facts & finds and having honest conversations about in-office cosmetic esthetic procedures. Truthfully, I’ve struggled to maintain a healthy skincare routine over the years. Heading into my “beyond-50-years” it definitely started to show!

The B50S blog is a platform for learning and sharing information about skincare, haircare and a little makeup, plus tips for lifestyle health and happiness. l share best practices for a healthy skincare routine and information on the latests aesthetic procedures. Integrating my background in aesthetics and the holistic practice of OT (promoting a person’s ability to fulfill daily routines & roles to enjoy living life to the fullest) I present a balanced approach to skin health.

It’s never too late to start something new!

I went back to graduate school in my 40’s. And when I woke up one morning in my early 50’s to find my reflection had turned from peach to prune I took ACTION. I hit the books once again to learn all I could about the latest in good skin health.
